Improvements at Tuna Fish Factories in Thailand

In this study, SUPPLY CHA!NGE partner Finnwatch examines labor rights issues in Thai Tuna processing and manufacturing plants. It is following up on Finnwatch investigation in 2013, where severe human and labor rights infringements in Thai Tuna processing factories had been documented. Although there have been improvements for the roughly 12.000 people that are employed in the factories under scrutiny, significant issues still remain, such as insuffient grievance mechanisms, systematic discrimination and recruitment fees.
